Offering those who like their music loud, electronic and cutting-edge,
Durban’s newest nightclub – Gaia – kicks off with a bang on March 27th,
with Upload. Staged by AmaDeadly Productions, who are responsible
for the hugely successful AmaFullThrottle New Year Festival, Upload
showcases a selection of Durban’s finest underground sound peddlers.
From dubstep and electro to techno, progressive to psy-trance,
Upload will be staged once a month and offer a respite from the
shocking commercial house and Top 40 hits that plague the city’s
nocturnal destinations. Featuring the talents of DJ’s as diverse as Leo
and Budhu from NONONO!!!, Chemikult and Blinker from AmaDeadly
Productions, Beat-Hacker, Kaptain Kermanchi, PsyAndy and Rowlz,
the soundtrack will be perfectly complemented by black light décor,
while a late-nite Happy Hour from 2am-3am will ensure flagging spirits
are revived. With all other venues playing to the lowest common
denominator, Upload promises to inject a fresh spurt of vigour
into Durban’s monthly calendar of events.
StStarted in 1999 and still rocking in 2009, the best New Year jol since the Flux Festival is
officially locked, loaded and ready to fire into 2010 with guns blazing!

at the idyllic lakeside Tucker’s Farm at Ifafa on the KZN South Coast

progressive and trance on 2 weatherproof dancefloors.
